How long does Signature Scent Reed Diffuser Last?
Signature Scent 120ml Reed Diffuser will last, once opened, at least 6 - 12 months, depending on the oils that are mixed in. Some factors do play in the longevity of the diffuser. Direct sunlight, breeze, the frequency the reeds are flipped and the number of reed sticks you have in the diffuser. The more reeds you have the more oil is consumed. We recommend using 8 - 10 reeds in your diffuser.

How long will the candle last?
Signature Scent candle will last 45-50 hours if used correctly. The reason for not being able to pinpoint exact time is dependant on the oils as some oils burn quicker than others. Since we mix our oils in-house, in some cases we may use 3 – 4 oils. Out of those oils 1 or 2 of may burn faster or slower than the others. It is dependant on the molecules of these oil.
Why do I need to trim my candle wick after each use?
Trimming will prevent the candle from smoking, creating black soot (black residue) on the side of the jar and reduce the flame height. If not trimmed between each burn there is a potential for the wick to mushroom (Mushrooming is when the top of the wick is expanded to look like a small mushroom), which could create large flame, smoke and soot on the jar. Large flame may also crack the glass and cause a fire especially if left on for a prolonged period of time.
Why is there black residue inside the glass jar?
To prevent that follow the candle care instructions. Trim the wicks as per above and avoid burning for more than 4 hours at a time.
What is the reason for burning candle for 2 – 4 hours?
To prevent it from tunnelling. If your melted candle wax (melt pool) has not reached close to the glass, next time when you light it the candle has formed a memory so to speak and will only burn to where it burnt to before. Therefor you may end up with a solid wax mass on the side of the jar. It may eventually drown the wick or the wick will fall to the side of the jar, which potentially will heat the glass where it may eventually crack.
Why do I have to stop burning candle with 1cm of wax left?
This is a precautionary measure only because the lower the wax is in the jar the hotter the wax becomes. With the combustion and small space for heat to escape, the glass may get too hot and crack or burst. The lower the wax in the jar the higher the heat levels.
